



In order for the convenience of travelers, more than 300 hotels have been resumed in Yangon Region. Currently, Due to the resurgence of COVID-19 disease, preparations are being made to resume more than 40 hotels in Yangon Region for tourists entering Myanmar through cross border entry points who need to follow the public health requirements such as putting in the quarantine if they need to.
Director, Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, Nanda Aung said "Out of 493 hotels in Yangon, 320 have been reopened and 173 hotels are not yet operated. The notification has been released to put quarantine for those who are required. In accordance with the instruction of the Ministry of Health, quarantined hotels will be prepared to operate."
Myanmar tourism industry is slowly starting to resume and revitalize and plans are underway to reopen hotels which are still closed.
In Myanmar, most of the hotels, motels, guest houses, inns are reopening according to the tourism national guidelines of Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.
