Preparations for the 9th Winter Asian Games have completed

Preparations for the 9th Winter Asian Games have completed, said Chief Spokespersons for the event on Wednesday at a press conference held in Harbin, the host city in Northeast China.

More than 1,270 athletes from 34 countries and regions across Asia have signed up to compete, making this edition of the Winter Asian Games the largest in terms of participating delegations and athletes, according to the Chief Spokesperson who is also Deputy Secretary-General of the organizing committee and Vice Mayor of Harbin.

The ice and snow events will be held at five ice sports venues in Harbin and eight snow sports venues at Yabuli Ski Resort. All venues have been renovated and upgraded from their original structures, passing safety inspections and meeting environmental standards.
