





The Central Committee for Organizing the 76th Anniversary Martyrs' Day held its work coordination meeting at the Yangon Region Government Office on Friday.
Chairman of the Central Committee, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, discussed the ongoing preparations for observing the ceremony.
He instructed officials from respective sub-committees to pay attention to the preparation measures at the Mausoleum since it will be a state-level event. He called for the cooperation of all concerned individuals to ensure the successful holding of the event.
Vice Chairman of the Central Committee, Chairman of the Work Committee, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, later explained the work undertakings.
This was followed by reports on security measures and invitations to Yangon-based political parties by the Deputy Minister for Home Affairs and the UEC member.
Subsequently, the attendees engaged in a general round of discussion, and the Union Minister provided further elaboration. The 76th anniversary Martyrs' Day ceremony will consist of four events, as in previous years.
These include the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Mausoleum, the Hoisting of the State Flag Half-Mast at the Secretariat (Former Ministers' Office), Meal Offering Ceremonies in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw dedicated to the fallen heroes.
Additionally, the General Aung San Museums in Yangon and Natmauk, as well as the meeting room at the Secretariat where the Martyrs were assassinated, will be opened to the public for observance.
