Preparation Meeting: World Food Day ceremony to be held on October 16

A commemoration ceremony for the World Food Day is scheduled to organize in Nay Pyi Taw on 16th October. A coordination meeting for successful holding of the ceremony took place at the Yezin Agricultural University on 2nd October.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Gyi discussed that the world nations have been celebrating the World Food Day on the 16th of October every year to have awareness on the crucial role of food sufficiency for human beings.

This year’s celebration will be focus on boosting production of agriculture sector for food sufficiency in local and abroad. Cooperation with the local and international organizations and farmers. Officials from the Central Committee and Work Committee later reported on the work undertakings by the respective sector.
