






Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials observed preparations at the Martrys’ mausoleum in Bahan township where 76th Martyrs’ day celebration to be held, rehearsal for wreath-laying and saluting ceremony, prepartations at Bogyoke Aung San Museum and and the Secretariat (Former Ministers’ office) in Botahtaung township on Monday.
The Union Minister and party first arrived at Martyrs’ mausoleum in Bahan township where secretary of the 76th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day Ceremony Organizing sub-committee and officials reported completion of arrangements for VIP room and a meeting place of the Head of State to families of martyrs’ leaders.
The Union Minister and party then looked into preparations along the road to the Martyrs’ mausoleum and then rehearsal of state-level wreath-laying and saluting ceremony at the mausoleum, arrangements in line with COVID-19 rules at the entrance and exit gates of the people who will come there to pay tribute to martyr leaders and preparations at the inspection gates and instructed the needs.
Afterwards, the Union Minsiter and party wen to Bogyoke Aung San Museum in Bahan Townshiop and observed preparations at the museum such as measures for neat and tidiness along the way, displays of commemorative photos of General Aung San, currencies, coins and stamps with the images of General, efforts for his independence struggles, Bogyoke’s life, touch screen to be observed about General Aung San and related histories including historic photos and speeches that can be studied both in Myanmar and English using the General Aung San Application Software, arrangements at inside and outside the museum and security measures.
The Union Minister and party then inspected preparation measures at the Secretariat building (Former Ministers’ Office) in Botahtaung township such as display of the photos of national leaders and their biographies, information issued by the state, the place of holding the parliment, the meeting room where the general and martyr leaders were assisinated, display of the materials of martyr leaders and so on.
In response to the reports of officials, the Union Minister gave necessary instructions on neat and tidy in the compound of secretariat building.
The Union Minister and party then looked into arrangements for offering alms food and merit-sharing in memory of the fallen leaders at the Yangon City Development Committee Office and gave necessary instructions.
The Union Minister then held meeting with Chairman of Myanmar Theatrical Association (Central) U Phoe Chit and executive members at the National Theatre in Yangon.
On the occasion, the Union Minister urged the artistes from theatrical field to promote traditional theatrical arts including performance as well as serve for the interests of the state and the people by applying effectively the opportunities that they gain and the Ministry will provide assistance as much as possible.
After that, Chairman of the Association (Central) and officials reported on the works that are being carried out for the interests of theatrical artistes and future plans.
