Preparation Measures: 2023 China-Myanmar Twin City Media Forum

Union Minister for Information, U Maung Maung Ohn, along with Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, attended a meeting on Thursday to ensure the successful organization of the 2023 China-Myanmar Twin City Media Forum.

During the meeting, the Union Minister emphasized the forum's significance in enhancing bilateral relations, combating the spread of fake and false news, and promoting tourism. The China-Myanmar Twin City Media Forum is scheduled to be held in the last week of November.

The Opening Ceremony will take place at Yadanapon Hall in Mandalay, as Kunming and Mandalay share a Twin City and Sister City relationship. The forum's discussions will be held in Nay Pyi Taw.

While this forum has been held three times in Kunming and Mansi, China, this marks the very first time it is being organized in Myanmar. Following the meeting, the Union Minister and party visited Yadanapon Hall to conduct an inspection. This facility, which sits on a 6-acre land plot at the corner of 78th Street and 38th Street, was inaugurated on May 17, 2021.
