Preparation Matters: Myanmar to host 24th Meeting of SCC

A coordination meeting for successful hosting of the 24th Meeting of ASEAN Sub-Committee on Culture (SCC) was held at the National Library in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday. 

During the meeting, Deputy Minister for Religious and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan said the officials of the ASEAN countries will be exchange views on completion activities, current activities and future plans related on cultural and artistic projects, the culture of ASEAN countries and new heritage projects that will be implemented with the ASEAN culture fund in coming 24th Meeting of SCC.

The meeting will be attended by 2 representatives of high rank levels each from the ASEAN Secretariat Office and other ASEAN member states. She added that it is needed to make preparations to showcase the country’s hospitality and ability of meeting management at advanced level, as well as traditional culture and dances since Myanmar got a chance to host the regional event in post-COVID-19 period.

Then, the eminent person of Myanmar’s ASEAN Socio Cultural Community, the director general of Department of Historical Research and National Library and officials reported on the preparation activities and future plans to be successful hosting of the 24th Meeting of ASEAN Sub-Committee on Culture (SCC). Then, the meeting was successfully ended.
