Preparation for Election: Demonstration on Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine

Test Voting using Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) has been conducting in Ayeyawaddy Region since 7th of February.

On Saturday, 732 civilians from 132 Ward/Village Tract in Hinthada Township and 324 civilians from 93 Ward/Village Tract in KyaikLat Township, a total of 1,056 civilians participated in test voting. During test voting, the officials from Region, District and Township Election Sub-Commissions explained the usage of MEVM in casting vote.

The participants actively participated in test voting and provided necessary suggestions on successful holding of upcoming elections. The MEVM test voting programs will be conducted continuously within Ayeyawaddy Region, it’s reported.
