Preparation for Election: Clarification on Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM)

Union Election Commission (UEC) made clarification on the setting up of Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday. 

An official from UEC reported on test setting up of MEVM comprising with the Control Unit, Balloting Unit – Main and Extension, and verification Unit, set up of ballot box and battery, installed machines and purposes of using, suggestions, amendments for mass production and requirements. Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and attendees later viewed the process of test voting by MEVM, and gave guidance on the requirements.
