Pre-Thingyan Festival: Charity feast donation at the Ministry of Industry

To welcome the Myanmar New Year Thingyan Festival, the families of the Ministry of Industry organized a charity feast festival at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday morning. During the event, Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than said the event aimed to preserve the traditional culture of Myanmar Thingyan water festival and to enjoy the seasonal festival joyously.

The Union minister also wishes for all staffs to possess a workplace with peace, happiness and well-being, and to be free from the dangers of diseases.  Then, the departmental staffs and their families entertained with Thingyan songs and dances, served the traditional snacks while enjoying water-throwing to the attendees. Deputy Minister U Yin Maung Nyunt later oversaw the preparations measures for Walking Thingyan Festival and gave necessary instructions.
