Pre-Thadingyut trade fair: Yangon Region CM attended opening ceremony

Pre-Thadingyut Small-Scale Industrial Products Exhibition and Trade Fair was held at the Department of Small-Scale Industries of Yangon Region in the presence of the Yangon Region Government, Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Regional Ministers, officials from the Department of Small Industries, officials concerned and small-scale industrial entrepreneurs on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the visitors could find the products displayed by 74 registered small-scale industrial enterprises in the Yangon Region. The fair intends to create and seek a market for local small-scale industrial products, to domestically consumed import-substituted products, to create employment opportunities and emerge small-scale industries, he added.
Then, the Chief Minister, Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs Col. Win Tint, and Region Minister for Natural Resources U Zaw Win cut the ceremonial ribbon and viewed around the small-scale industrial handicrafts exhibited at the fair.
The Pre-Thadingyut Small-Scale Industrial Products Exhibition and Trade Fair is set to take place from 14th to 16th October and the small-scale industrial products from the Yangon Region such as consumer goods, foodstuffs and handicraft products will be on display and sale at the fair.
