Pre-activity for Children’s Day: Commemoration of Rights of the Child

A pre-activity for the 34th World Children’s Day took place at the Pyinmana District General Administration Department on Friday.

In this event in commemoration of the rights under the convention on the Rights of the Child, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo stressed that by taking care of children in the right way, they will develop comprehensively and have high quality, and will become a good foundation for the future.

This pre-activity included performances by children from pre-primary schools and honorable gifts were presented to the children. World Children's Day is celebrated on 20 November to commemorate the Declaration of the Rights of the Child by the UN General Assembly on 20 November 1959.
