Prabowo, Boluarte to sign Indonesia-Peru CEPA

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto signed the Indonesia-Peru Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with Peruvian President Dina Ercilia Boluarte at Bogor Palace on Monday. Trade Minister Budi Santoso confirmed the agreement was finalized after negotiations that started in early 2024.

The deal followed a commitment made by both leaders during their November 2024 meeting in Peru. President Boluarte arrived in Indonesia on Sunday with Foreign Minister Elmer Schialer to promote investment and strengthen ties. She also met with Indonesian business leaders and the Chamber of Commerce. The CEPA aims to expand market access and boost trade between Indonesia and Latin America.
