





A powerful earthquake off the Coast of Cebu Island in the Philippines on Tuesday has left at least 72 people dead and many more injured. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited the site Thursday morning to assess the destruction firsthand.
Authorities are distributing food and water to residents, as supply problems persist, with parts of the city still without running water. Cebu Governor appealed for further support, saying power still needs to be restored. The Governor added that communities require not only water and food, but also financial assistance for those families displaced in the northern part of the island.
