




On October 5th, Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun, accompanied by departmental officials, inspected the restoration and reconstruction efforts of the collapsed 230 KV ShweMyo-Nay Pyi Taw (2) power line, as well as the retransmission of the 230 KV Tharzi-ShweMyo power line.
Upon arrival at the ShweMyo-Nay Pyi Taw (2) construction site in Zeyathiri Township, the Union Minister and party received progress reports on the construction and the planned measures to ensure timely re-transmission and distribution of power by the specified deadline.
The Union Minister then inspected the completed foundation work, tower and power line construction. The Union Minister also urged swift completion using all available resources.
The Union Minister and party proceeded to TatKone Township to oversee the completion and retransmission of the 230 KV Tharzi-ShweMyo power line, the power supply to MRTV through temporary power line and the restoration of the 33 KV power line.Following heavy rains and flooding in the Nay Pyi Taw council area, nine towers were collapsed.
Reconstruction efforts have since been accelerated, with the towers for the 230 KV Tharzi-ShweMyo power line now fully restored. Work on the remaining towers of the 230 KV ShweMyo-Nay Pyi Taw (2) line is set to finish by mid-October, aiming for a quick power restoration.
