Power Transmission: MOEP Union Minister inspects the work undertakings

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun, together with the Deputy Minister and relevant departmental officials, conducted a thorough inspection of the damaged power lines severely affected by heavy rains and flooding in the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory on 14th September.

First, the Union Minister and party visited the power lines and towers’ restoration site in TatKone Township. There, they discussed current restoration activities and measures for faster power transmission and distribution.

They then inspected the repair and reconstruction of power lines, including pole erection, tower iron frame repairs and transmission tower re-erection. The Union Minister instructed a swift restoration effort, emphasizing the use of all available manpower, vehicles and equipment, while ensuring workplace safety and adherence to quality standards.

The Ministry of Electric Power is vigorously advancing power restoration efforts in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory and Mandalay Region, with a collaborative team of 450 electrical experts led by engineers from various regions and states.
