Power Supply: Repair works of damaged power lines in Shan State

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun visited Kalaw Township in Shan State on October 12th, and inspected the condition of damaged transmission towers of 33KV Yay Paung Sone (Pyay) – Namt Pan Tet Power Line and repair works.

He heard reports on the plan for soonest transmission of power within the time frame, and urged all to make collaborative efforts for restoration of normalcy. The Union Minister and party later inspected re-transmission of power through 11KV power line and repair works of Kalaw Mian Sub-Station, and instructed for long term durability, with resilience to natural disaster.

On arrival at 132KV Taunggyi Main Sub-Station, he heard the progress report of the power lines and extension of power plant, before touring in the control room, Switch Bay and Swift Yard. At Shan State Electric Engineer Office, the Union Minister met with the state, district and township level electric engineers and staff and urged all to serve thier duties with best services, with close supervision by officials.
