Power plant project: In fulfilling power requirement of people

The 100 megawatts the Solar+ Gas Engine Hybrid power plant project is being built on a land area of 598 acres near Thabyaysan village in Magway Township.

The project is being implemented to be able to fully transmit power by February in 2024. 9 power generators have arrived and 4 more to come. Land preparation work is being making for solar panels installation.

The installed capacity of the machine is 122 megawatts of solar energy and 126 megawatts of gas engines.

At present, the project has completed 31 percent. After the completion of the project, the generated power will be connected to the national power grid through the 132 KV Magway Main Substation.
