Post-Harvest Practices: MOALI Union Minister visits PHRI in Yezin

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation U Min Naung, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Bo Bo Kyaw and officials, visited the Post-Harvest Research Institute (PHRI) in Yezin on December 30th.

During the visit, officials provided updates on ongoing research and development efforts, technological training courses, surveys on vegetable waste, and water supply access.

The Union Minister stressed the importance of exploring natural, chemical-free methods for the long-term storage of vegetables and fruits. He emphasized the need to disseminate knowledge effectively to vegetable seller groups, encouraging practical implementation.

Following the discussions, the Union Minister and party observed various work processes, including post-harvest management, quality control, testing of value-added products, and measures ensuring food safety.
