More than 400 pilots from Portuguese airline TAP marched in silence from Lisbon Airport to the company's headquarters as a sign of protest against the current management and for better working conditions.

Tuesday's demonstration was called on by the Commercial Pilots Union and only pilots not on duty took part in the march. Pilots were also protesting against recent salary cuts due to a restructuring plan of the company.

In a statement, TAP Air Portugal said it regretted not being able to come yet to an agreement with its pilots, "who are essential" to the company. The airline also said they are working on finding a solution "for the sustainability of the company" and its workers.
