Portugal and Brazil boost NATO aircraft partnership

Brazilian airline manufacturer Embraer has announced a new partnership with Portuguese companies to expand production of its specialized aircrafts in Portugal. Brazil President Lula da Silva and Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa helped to celebrate the announced in Alverca, arriving on board of a KC-390 transport plane - an Embraer aircraft bought by Portugal.

The production of A-29 turbo prop aircraft, is one of the key elements of the new strategic partnership announced in Alverca, in the outskirts of Lisbon.Embraer will develop a NATO version of the A-29, to be called A-29N, in response to interest expressed by members of the NATO alliance.
