Population and Housing Census : Training conducted for Immigration Staff

In preparation for the 2024 Population and Housing Census collection, a training session was conducted for the 2023 Census Test.

Dr. Myo Thant, the Deputy Minister for Immigration and Population, attended the opening ceremony of the training and emphasized the importance of the census test for the success of the major census data collection process.

The Census Test will be conducted using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviews (CAPI) system, and the necessary technological processes are being handled by the Immigration Department staff with technical support from foreign experts.

The Deputy Minister urged the trainee staff to diligently study the subjects provided during the training to ensure the successful implementation of the census test.

A total of 53s trainees are participating in a week-long training course. The 2023 Census Test is scheduled to take place from 1st to 15th October in 20 selected townships across Nay Pyi Taw, Regions, and States.
