Population and Household Issues: Sagaing Region Government holds meeting for collection

Sagaing Region Government held the 2024 Population and Household Census Billboard Erecting Ceremony on Wednesday in Monywa Township.

Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and many other officials attended the ceremony near the Kanthayar Lake on the Bogyoke Road. There, the Chief Minister also inspected materials to be used in the population and household census collection, posters and pamphlets.

And, the Chief Minister addressed a coordination meeting for the Population and Household Census Collection.

In his address, the Chief Minister stressed that the population statistics obtained from the census collection is important to compile the correct voter list, and the 2024 national census work will be conducted for 15 days from October 1st to 15th.

Administrative activities to be carried out for the convenience of the census work will be shared. It is necessary to take the population and household census work as a national responsibility and cooperate to make it successful. This meeting continued with reports on preparations, cooperation and plans for the 2024 Population and Household Census collection.
