Population and Development: MoIP Union Minister receives UNFPA Representative

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U MyintKyaing received a delegation led by UNFPA Resident Representative in Myanmar Mr. Ramanathan Balakrishnan at the Ministry on Thursday.

During the meeting, they frankly discussed the issues of population and development coordinated by the Ministry and UNFPA in July, the Ministry’s review on the response of the UNFPA regarding population and household census enumeration, the remark of the Ministry on the nomination to appoint a new resident representative of the UNFPA, having good traditions in cooperation of the Ministry and the UNFPA in the population and development measures of Myanmar for many years and further cooperation.
