Pope Francis is set to visit the Italian city of L'Aquila on Sunday, a day after appointing 20 new cardinals. Francis is coming for the Feast of Forgiveness, a feast initiated by Pope Celestine V.

During his trip, the Pope will visit a cathedral that was heavily damaged by an earthquake in 2009. The pope will later celebrate mass in the Basilica of Collemaggio, where he will pray in front of the tomb of Pope Celestine V. Thousands of worshipers are expected to attend.
