Pope raises concerns over rising tensions in the Caribbean and Gaza

Speaking at a meeting with diplomats to the Vatican on Friday, Pope Leo XIV raised concerns over rising tensions in the Caribbean region, especially Venezuela, calling to respect to safeguard the human and civil rights of all.

The Pope also laments rising violence and conflicts in the occupied West Bank and the intense crisis in Gaza. He added that the Holy See is especially attentive to any diplomatic initiative that seeks to guarantee to the future of lasting peace and justice for respective countries.
