Pope Leo XIV meets members of clergy

Pope Leo XIV has arrived on Friday in Istanbul for his first international visit, choosing Türkiye as his inaugural destination. Pope Leo XIV met with bishops, priests, deacons, and other members of the clergy at the Saint Esprit Catholic Church in Harbiye.

He was welcomed at the entrance by children offering flowers. Numerous clergy members accompanied the Pope during the event held in the cathedral. The congregation expressed their appreciation for Pope Leo, greeting with applause and hymns.
