Pope calls for prayers for peace in Middle East

Pope Leo XIV urged believers to pray unceasingly for peace in the Holy Land and other conflict-affected regions at the conclusion of his first Canonization Mass.

The Pontiff warned that victories won through weapons bring only death and destruction, which cannot lead to peace or security. He emphasized that God supports those who build peace. The Mass marked the canonization of Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati.
