PM Oli arrives in Thailand to attend BIMSTEC Summit

Nepali Prime Minister Sharma Oli has arrived in Bangkok on Tuesday for an official visit to Thailand and to attend the Sixth Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral, Technical, and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC). BIMSTEC is scheduled to be held on April 4 in the Thai capital. 

This is the first-ever official visit by the Head of Government of Nepal to Thailand. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after the meeting, an agreement on cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism will be signed. A total of six MOUs between non-governmental and private sectors of the two countries will also be exchanged.
