PM Modi recalls Swami Vivekananda’s ideals on National Youth Day

The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 event took place on Monday coinciding with National Youth Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda was the first spiritual leader who represented India and Hinduism at the Parliament of the World’s Religions (1893).

Prime Minister, along with Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, led the gathering in singing ‘Vande Mataram, as thousands of young leaders from across India and international delegates joined in, creating a strong sense of unity and patriotism. In his speech, Prime Minister hailed the spirit of India’s new Gen Z and its commitment to building a developed India.
