PM Modi inaugurates railway projects in Sri Lanka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India-supported railway initiatives in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka, focusing on improving regional connectivity and economic integration.

Accompanied by Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, he officially opened the upgraded Maho-Omanthai railway line and a newly installed signaling network.

The India-backed infrastructure projects aim to enhance transportation between northern Sri Lanka and the capital, Colombo. Upon his arrival at the Anuradhapura Naval Air Base, Prime Minister Modi was welcomed with a ceremonial guard of honor.
