Plovdiv unveils Roman water clock restored in authentic form

The only water clock, clepsydra, of its kind in Bulgaria, which measures time, was unveiled in Plovdiv of Bulgaria on Saturday. The facility has been restored in authentic form by the sculptor Viktor Limonov and is a donation from an initiative committee. The clock consists of two vessels with liquid that does not freeze, and by raising them, the hours and minutes are measured. Archival data collected from around the world was used for the restoration of the clock.
