Plenary Meeting of SSMNC: 2nd day of 3rd plenary meeting continued

The second day of the second meeting of the Ninth 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee was held at the Vijaya Mangala Dhamma Thabin on Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon on November 19.

Present at the occasion were members of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee led by Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Pahtamapyan Sarthintaik Monastery, Aggamaha Pandita, Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa, Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Aye Tun and officials.

Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa presided over the meeting, and Joint Secretary Sayadaw Aggamaha Pandita Bhaddanta Kovida acted as the master of ceremonies. During the first session of the meeting, the Sayadaws discussed the Vinicchaya affairs, religious-related matters and the education sector.

In the afternoon, the second session of the meeting continued, and the Sayadaws discussed the Vinicchaya affairs, religious-related matters and the education sector. During the second session, the Sayadaws discussed religious affairs, Vinicchaya affairs and the education sector.

Then, Joint Secretary Sayadaw Bhaddanta Kovida submitted a report on the activities of the ninth Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee (first subcommittee) conducted during the first term and sought the approval of the meeting. The meeting attended Sayadaws approved the report by saying “Sadhu” three times. After that, the third plenary meeting of the 9th 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee was successfully concluded.

Disciples under the auspices of Kyaikkasan Wailuwun (Shwegyin) Monastery, Sayadaw Bhaddanta Manita (Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja ) offered alms for the whole day to the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee member Sayadaws who attended the meeting.
