






Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, along with Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and officials, paid a visit to Jivitadhana Sangha Hospital in Taunggyi on Wednesday.
During their visit, they met with the Medical Superintendent, members of the Board of Administration, and other hospital officials.
In his opening remarks, the Union Minister expressed his appreciation for the hospital's dedicated provision of healthcare services to both monks and the public. He called for cooperative efforts to ensure the facility's long-term sustainability.
Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye pledged to contribute as much as possible to meet the hospital's needs. The attendees later presented the work performance of the hospital and outlined its current requirements. The Union Minister made a donation of over 2 million kyats in cash to support the hospital.
Originally known as Kanbawza Specialist Hospital, the facility was donated by the family of Kanbawza Bank Limited in 2007 and transformed into a 100-bed Jivitadhana Sangha Hospital.
The hospital continues to provide inpatient care to approximately 40 monks and nuns each month, along with offering free medical treatment to around 150 patients from the monastic community.
