Plantations on river island: Kachin State CM inspected plantations on island

The Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, inspected agricultural activities on Naung Ta Law Island in the Ayeyarwady River on the evening of January 20.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister and party traveled to the island by speed boatsof the fire brigade. They observed the conditions of crops grown using the solar-powered water pumping system on sandy fields of the island, including sunflower fields and vegetable plantations. They also observed migratory birds seeking shelter on the sandy dunes of the river island.

Additionally, they visited the Ayeyarwady Viewpoint Resort at Si Ta Pu jetty in Myitkyina, where they saw the public resting and relaxing in the resort. They discussed with relevant department officials about the possibility of adding more decorative plants to enhance the resort and identified areas that needed maintenance and improvement.
