Plans for investment sector: Sagaing Region Investment Committee meets

Sagaing Region Investment Committee held its meeting (11/2022) at the Region Government Office on Tuesday with an attendance of Chairman of the Committee Sagaing Region Chief Minister U MyatKyaw.

At the event, the Region Chief Minister U MyatKyaw said that Sagaing Region borders with India and links trading to India and China through Tamu-Mandalay-Muse route. The region is abundant of mineral resources and has a wide-range of economic sectors and unique characteristics. It needs to find out ways to provide technical assistance to local entrepreneurs for producing finished products with locally produced raw materials.

In order to improve the economic development of the country and the socio-economic life of the people, the micro, small and medium enterprises contribute a lot. It needs to pay attention to the development of MSME enterprises.

The Chief Minister called for members of the Investment Committee to invite the investors and try hard for achieving MSME enterprises through various means and ways. Officials reported on progress of the previous meeting decisions, making field trips in November and investment tasks. In response to the reports, the Region Chief Minister fulfilled the needs.
