A plane landed at Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport on Sunday morning carrying 400,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines donated by the Polish government.

Poland's vaccine donation has been made after Taiwan provided the European nation with medical supplies last year when the pandemic broke out.

In 2020, Taiwan donated 1 million face masks, 5,000 pieces of Personal Protective Equipment and 20,000 surgical protection outfits to Poland. Taiwan has received vaccine donations recently from the US, Japan, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Poland after falling behind on its vaccine purchases.
