Plan For Economic Development: Meeting On The State Economic Promotion Fund For Chin State

A coordination meeting on 10 billion kyats financial assistance provided from the State Economic Promotion Fund for Chin State was held at the Chin State Government Office in Hakha, Wednesday. Chin State Chief Minister Dr Wong Hsun Tan  gave a remark, saying that it needs to mainly carry out for the development of agriculture and livestock with the state economic promotion fund and only when there is a surplus, it will be used for other economic productions.

The tasks will be undertaken in the form of the emerald green project that is selected by village-wise by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development.

The Chief Minister stressed on reporting the tasks that can be implemented the best during the loan period as the financial rules and regulations of the State Economic Promotion Fund. Later, the State Economic Affairs Minister discussed that the tasks that can be carried out quickly and suitable with the region will be managed in carrying out agricultural and livestock activities.

Officials reported plans for sector-wise implementation, difficulties, financial rules and regulations, basic rules in selecting project village, interest rate and period for collecting interest and emerald green project procedures.
