New York's LaGuardia airport will stay closed until at least 2:00 pm local time Monday following a runway collision that killed a pilot and co-pilot, the head of the city's port authority said. An Air Canada Express regional jet (CRJ-900) arriving from Montreal was landing at LaGuardia.

As it touched down, it struck a Port Authority firefighting truck that was on the runway responding to a separate incident involving another aircraft. 72 passengers and 4 crew members were on the aircraft. Around 40 people were taken to hospitals, though many were later released.
