Pilot Census Enumeration : MoIP Union Minister observed the pilot enumeration

Chairman of the Central Census Commission Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing accompanied by the Senior officials observed the trial census enumeration which is one of the preparation tasks of 2024 population and housing census in Dakkhinathiri Ward, Dakkhinathiri Township, Union Territory (Nay Pyi Taw) in the afternoon on 1st October.

First, the Union Minister and party looked round the taking the population and housing census and asking the questionnaires on the household by the staff members of the Ministry and the committee members from door to door to the households in Dakkhinathiri Ward and the Union Minister cordially greeted the people and encouraged to cooperate in the process by answering the questions correctly.

Next, the Union Minister and party also viewed the trial census taking in the fruits and vegetables factory of Myanmar Shwe fruits and vegetables Co., Ltd in Ye Dee Village, coordinated the work requirements and cordially greeted the factory employees.

The pilot census enumeration is being carried out in 100 set enumeration plots by selecting 20 townships from the regions and states from 1st to 15th October, 2023 prior to the National Census Enumeration 2024. During the pilot enumeration, 18 questionnaires for groups and 68 questionnaires for households will be asked and enumerated with Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) System by using Mobile Tablet from 1st to 15th October.
