Pilot Census Enumeration: Census being collected in 10 plots in Myingyan

As the preparation for 2024 Nationwide Population and Housing Census, the pilot census enumeration is being conducted in Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region starting from 1st October. 

District Chief Officer , Myingyan District , MOIP , Myo Myat Swe said " From 1st to 2nd October, we collected census from about 168 households in No. 3 ward of Myingyan and plans are underway to conduct trial census enumeration in the remaining villages. The census enumeration system conducted by the Ministry is a door-to-door service and the tasks will be carried out with the cooperation of the census enumeration monitoring team and other partner organizations."

A total of 68 data will be collected, including the personal information such as marital status, birth date, employment status and lifestyle of family members.

In conducting pilot census, census will be enumerated with census committee members in wards/village tracts through door-to-door service with de facto method and Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) System by using mobile tablet.

A pilot census enumeration in Myingyan Township will be carried out in 2 urban plots and 8 rural plots, totaling 10 plots for 15 days from 1st to 15th October.
