Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla accompanied by officials paid homage to Tooth Relic Pagoda, situated in Dhamaparla hill, Mayangone Township, Yangon Region on Sunday.
At the pagoda, the Prime Minister and wife offered flower, water, oil light and fruit to the pagoda. During the visit, the Prime Minister and his wife presented cash donated by the family of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers for all round renovation of the pagoda.
Next, the Prime Minister and party paid homage to the replica of Buddha tooth relic enshrined in the pagoda. After observing the maintenance tasks, the Prime Minister instructed the necessaries for all round renovation including cleaning the pagoda platform.
The Prime Minister and his wife and party later proceeded to the International Theravara Buddhist Missionary University and paid respect to the Rector Sayadaw. After submitting the religious and education matters, they received the sermon of Sayadaw, donating offertories and cash.
