





The Pharmaceutical Factory (Insein) under the Ministry of Industry is fulfilling the basic medical needs of the people and the medication orders of the government departments.
It also prioritizes to the medication orders of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour. The factory is producing more than 140 kinds of medicines including capsules and fluids.
Managing Director of Myanmar Pharmaceutical Industry Dr Aung Khaing said that through these ministries, the medicines are being distributed to the relevant hospitals, clinics, rural health care centers and social security board clinics to provide public health sector.
Currently, the pharmaceutical factory (Insein) is producing 57 kinds of drug pills and capsules, 15 kinds of medical fluids, 10 relievers, 2 types of pharmaceutical powders, 47 kinds of injections, 10 kinds of IV fluids, 6 kinds of vaccines and antidotes, altogether 147 types of medicines.
The Managing Director of Myanmar Pharmaceutical Industry added that depending on the medication orders, the drugs are being produced. As a whole, the production capacity of pharmaceutical factories of Myanmar pharmaceutical industry can produce up to 193 types of medicines.
Currently, the Industry is mainly manufacturing the medicines and drugs that are the basic requirement of the people and also producing oral rehydration salt and anti-snake venoms.
