Those chemicals remain in the water and fishes. As a result, the consumers may be harmful by consuming. To prevent this from happening, we control chemical residues not to have in the water and the examiners check the fish farming pools and collect samples and we always conduct monitoring."

The activities under the National Residues Monitoring Plan (NRMP) at the fish farming pools which export to EU countries are being conducted. The implementation of this plan has been implemented in 2014-2015. The fishery products could be exported to EU countries in 2018.

There are 27 EU member countries and mainly import to UK, Belgium and Netherlands and Italy. Currently, the department is making efforts to get connection with China. Proceedings under the National Residue Monitoring Plan will enable export of aquatic products.
