Peru votes for new corruption probe against Castillo

The Peruvian parliament on Friday voted to create a new corruption investigation against former President Pedro Castillo. 59 congress representatives voted in supported, 23 against and three more abstained. Castillo was being investigated under several corruption probes when he called to dissolve the Congress, which in turn ousted him and substituted him. The new investigation might be conducted by the General Attorney Office.
