Performing Arts competition: MGY CM awarded the prizes to the winners

Magway Region 2024 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee Myanmar Traditional Culture Performing Arts Region Level Competition was held from 5th to 9th September and the prize awarding ceremony took place at the City Hall of Magway in the evening on September 9.

The ceremony was attended by Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and wife, Commander of the West Air Force Command Center, Ma-J Gen Thein Htun Oo, Commander of Magway Airbase Brigadier General Than Naing Nyunt, Region Government Ministers and wives, Rectors and Principals of Universities and Degree Colleges and officials concerned.

After opening the ceremony with the song of “My Wish”, Chief Minister and wife awarded the prizes to the winners of respective genres.Then, the Senior military officials from Magway military station, Region Ministers and wives, Rectors and Principals and officials also presented the prizes to the winners.

After that, Region Chief Minister presented cash of honor to the artistes over 70 years old who contributed the competition from the first to this 25th competition and those who performed with the songs.At the Region level competition held from 5th to 9th September, a total of 159 contestants including 82 in signing genre, 39 in dance genre, 8 in writing and 30 in playing instruments, it’s reported.
