


The Silver Jubilee 25th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition (Central Level) is scheduled to be held in Nay Pyi Taw from October 14th to 23rd.
Teams from respective regions and states are gearing up for winning medals in this prestigious event, which aims to uplift national prestige and integrity and to preserve the cultural heritage and national characteristics.
In Magway Region, altogether 159 contestants will be participate in the basic education, higher education and amateur level events of the Central Level competition.
Member, Magway Region Work Committee for Central Level Competition, Moe Khaing Soe said "12 contestants for singing event, 103 for dancing, 4 for song composing and 40 for playing musical instrument will participate in the Central Level Competition. This year, we provide best trainers for the contestants to ensure winning medals."
The contestants are now undergoing camp training at Magway University from September 15th to October 10th.
Contestant, Chin National Traditional Dance, Sein Moet Moet Aung said "We have been undergoing training for about two weeks, practicing every morning, afternoon and night. We have 18 troupe members, nine each for male and female. We will try our best to win gold medal for Magway Region."
Contestant, Myanmar Traditional Basic Dance (Gabyalut), Tun Yadana Bo said "Our troupe is comprised with 18 members including the auxiliary ones. We are very satisfied with our training. Last year, we won silver medal in the Central Level competition. We will make more efforts for winning gold medal in this year competition."
Magway Region team has won a total of 16 awards in the 24th Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition in 2023.
