







On September 2nd, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win attended the inauguration of the 25th Silver Jubilee of the Bago Region Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition.
The ceremony kicked off with the cutting of ceremonial ribbon by the Chief Minister, Region Social Affairs Minister and Bago University Rector.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister underscored the event's significance in revealing hidden talented artists and preserving Myanmar’s cultural heritage. He added that safeguarding these traditions fosters national pride and patriotism among youth and strengthens unity among diverse ethnic groups. The Chief Minister encouraged contestants to strive for excellence at the regional level with aspirations for national recognition.
Following his speech, the Chief Minister and other attendees enjoyed performances by contestants in various categories, including the Maha Gita singing competitions at the amateur (first class and second class) and basic education levels.
Approximately 263 contestants are participating in the competition, showcasing their talents across 3 singing categories, 4 dancing categories, 2 composing categories, and 13 instrumental categories.
