Performing Arts Competition: 57 contestants participated in Bago District

Bago District Administration Council organized the 24th District Level Performing Arts Competition on 30th August. The opening and awarding ceremonies of the competition took place at the Buddha Athen Dhamma Beikman Taw Gyi in Bago.

In the opening remarks, member of Bago Region Government regional Avocate General U Khin Mg Tint said the competition is held for showchasing Myanmar tradition and for emergence of next generation artists who are responsible to preserve the traditional culture of the country.

 He reiterated that by preserving traditional culture, the youths will have strong patriotism. He also urged all the participants who won at the district level competition to try hard and perpare for the regional and state level competitions to promote the perstige of the region. It was followed by clarification on holding the Competition.

Then, the participants competed in singing, dancing and playing musical instruments at the designated levels. In the evening, the awarding ceremony was continued and the officials presented awards to the winners.

After singing the song “Aung Say Paing Say” by the participants, the ceremony was concluded. It’s reported that altogether 57 contestants from Bago, Kawa, Waw and Thanatpin Townships participated in the 24th District Level Performing Arts Competition.
