Performance Review Workshop: MoST held annual performance review workshop

The annual performance review workshop of the Ministry of Science and Technology was held on January 6 at the Assembly Hall of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw using a hybrid system.

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw delivered the opening address. First, the Union Minister encouraged participants attending today's workshop to actively engage in group discussions by sector and to produce good outcomes. He urged the departments to successfully carry out tasks annually according to relevant strategies and work plans to achieve the set target outcomes, and to collectively strive towards realizing the goals of the strategic plan.

Following that, the Director-General of the Research and Evaluation Department explained the purpose of the workshop, the utilization of budgetary funds and project implementation, and presented information related to the performance review.

Subsequently, Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Zay Ya supplemented the discussion. He stated that in successfully implementing annual project tasks in departments, universities, colleges, institutes, and schools from community-benefiting to national-benefiting project processes, it is necessary to enhance collaboration on practical applied research projects that can truly fulfill the technological needs for MSME development and the socio-economic development of the public, as well as on Agro-based Industries, AI, EV, and Digital and Economy-related research projects. He emphasized that tasks should be carried out to meet the specified outcomes and indicators.
